莫忘初衷『迪司沙威瑪 D.C Shawarma』士林夜市美食/劍潭捷運站

Food vendors of Shilin night market always start opening after sun goes down, is there any chance coming here and enjoy cuisines at noon?
Without any doubt, we have a well-known kebab shop located in Xiaodong street which begins to open from noon. I asked the shop owner that why you start to open at noon? "There are a lot of office workers coming over and I reckon it is definitely where they wanna stretch their legs and completely relax for their lunch" The shop owner said. They did receive a lot of calls for ordering snacks which customers can enjoy in afternoon while I was waiting for my meal, it is absolutely nothing but the best that you can enjoy such night market cuisine in afternoon.
The one of advantage is that you can easily grab a kebab and some drinks without being crowded, Both items only cost you 69 dollars for weekday lunch only which is much more cheaper!!
It totally surprised me with a variety of selections when I was standing in front of the counter, obviously "Thai Spicy" and "Pesto" draw my attention and I swiftly raised my question to the vendor, "Which one is ordered frequently?" I asked, "Pesto" The vendor answered. "Okay, then I like to have a Mustard, please" (.....What?). Actually it is because my mom saw lots of students would order this one when she passed by D.C Shawarma (Danan) and she has been thinking of giving it a try! Thus I just tasted it for her lol.
It is acceptable to order chips and potato cakes individually, and will be more beneficial to order a set since it includes drinks (It is extremely important for summer lol)
Special events come out occasionally, feel free to touch base with clerks directly (Free for Birthday, collecting rewards, etc).
The one I was more interested is that fatty bread! So I ordered that 69$ set including ice-sugar black tea and codfish hamburger.
The vegetable they choose is slice-cabbage piling up like a mountain which make itself bigger than the normal Kebab.
The fried codfish is clocked by the timer, it is to make sure that every client can sample the same taste. Crispy outside and juicy inside after my first bite! (Be careful of LOTS of juice when you bite it)
This is the whole set of the lunch package.Just add $10 If you like your drink to be upgraded to black tea latte.
Below is "Mustard" ordered by my mom, you can select the codfish, the potato cake or chicken for your burger inside.
Pretty sour and sweet for Mustard which is the common favor for public (At least for my mom!)
The last one that is not listed on the menu is called "Do not forget your original passion" ,I like the hidden one most since it is rare as everyone does not know this meal, The tastes of two kebabs we ordered are revised and this one is the most original favor dating back to our childhood.
We always could see the stalls selling kebabs at the night market and the sides of school when we were children. No matter getting of the class or hanging around, it is irresistible seeing a lot of meat hanging out there, seeing the kebab and feel like it will never finish being cut.
With fresh vegetables, tomato, onion, corns, they also put mayonnaise and peanut flour (Actually I forgot if the one we had included these two items XD)
But it does not matter.
French fries will be one of meal you should not miss!

They have five seasoning favors for crispy chips on top of the origin, total 6 you can choose from.
Now I can not stop myself to order my favorite "Thai" that always arouses my appetite, especially for Summer!
Putting Korean pepper first then pour some Thai sauce which will not make you stop stuffing your mouth.
Normally the vendor provides a cup for taking out and another smaller cup for sauce. (So sweet!)
It is one of the kebab shop that you should never miss, highly recommended to you.
